Baked Mac and Cheese

This is obviously an oldie but goody especially this time of year. Here's the recipe for a 9X9 pan because who needs that huge pan to feed a few people?!

1/2 Cup butter (melted)
1/2 box of macaroni noodles (cooked)
2 Cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 can evaporated milk
1/4-1/2 Cup milk
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste

Boil macaroni noodles to cook. While cooking noodles place 9X9 dish on top with butter to melt...kill 2 birds with 1 stone! When butter is completely melted stir in evaporated milk, egg, salt and pepper to taste and whisk together. Put strained macaroni into dish with egg and milk mixture. Add regular milk until noodles are covered. Put 1 cup of cheese in the noodles and mix together. Put remaining cup of cheese on top of macaroni to make a crust.

Bake at 350 degrees for exactly 30 minutes. You will have a perfectly golden, crusty baked mac and cheese. Enjoy!

I think I'll like this version bc I don't like a lot of eggs. Thanks for sharing.
